Prather and Son, Inc started in 1957 by our grandfather. Upon H.M. Prather's retirement in 1965, our father, Buddy Prather Sr., took over the family business. In 1979, his son, Buddy Prather Jr., joined the company full-time handling all day-to-day operations. In 1992, brother, Marty Prather, joined the company. Our father served as president of Prather Paving until his passing in 2004. (See video) Prather Paving is still going strong today serving Fayette and surrounding counties. We install and maintain any aspect of asphalt construction, from farm roads and barns, to commercial parking lots, residential driveway, pothole repairs, as well as sealing ans striping. We also provide services such as excavation, concrete construction, ans storm water drainage.
